ABOUT 2023-24 RIMC ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

Rashtriya Indian Military College conducts the entrance examination twice yearly to choose candidates for admission into RIMC and train them for defense services. Please note that the applications are invited for boys only. The application form is available on the RIMC website www.rimc.gov.in, or you can collect it from the college campus. Since the admissions are made to class VIII only, the candidate should not be less than 11½ years of age or must not have attained the age of 13 on 01 (Jan) or 01 (July) of the Term they join in.

The questions in the exam are asked from Mathematics, General Knowledge, and English.

INTERVIEW

The Viva Voce (50 marks) is conducted only for candidates who qualify for the written exam. The minimum qualifying marks in each paper are 50%. If the candidate fails to get 50% marks in any paper is declared disqualified. The selection of candidates for admission is purely merit-based

MEDICAL EXAMINATION

Those candidates who qualify for the written exam and interview are then called for the medical examination that is conducted only at a selected military hospital. Only medically fit candidates are considered for admission to the RIMC
